Audio-visual Service Engineer

  

The role will require you to test, service, repair, re-manufacturing and analyse a variety of electronic audio visual electronic products.  Fault finding to component level and providing diagnostic solutions to identified faults. 

 

This will include PCB and component replacement and adherence to repairing modifications, service level instructions and quality control requirements.

 

You will also be responsible for preparing and providing detailed repair and analysis reports in accordance with Company standards and aligned to customer requirements. 

 

Educated to City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Electronics / Electro-Mechanical systems (or equivalent)

 

  • Previous technical knowledge of audio, visual and navigation products.

  • Experience of repair and fault finding to component level.

  • Using test and measurement equipment for electronic analysis.

  • Experience of reading schematic diagrams.

  • Able to collate relevant data and write fault and failure analysis reports. 

  • Excellent level of PC literacy and skills.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • Confident telephone manner and ability to convey professional image at all times.

  • A team player but able to work on own initiative and unsupervised.

  • Ability to respond to changing work priorities and maintain quality standards under pressure.

  • Ability to work closely with other team members to resolve customer issues.

  • Willingness to share technical knowledge and experience with colleagues.

  • Ownership of issues and persistence in finding resolution.

After-Sales Audio-visual Service Engineer  

                         

The role will require you to support the testing, service, repair, re-manufacturing and analyse of a variety of electronic audio visual electronic products. 



This will include fault finding to component level and providing diagnostic solutions to identified faults and PCB and component replacement, adhering to repairing modifications, service level instructions and quality control requirements.



The main responsibilities of this role will be to prepare and provide detailed repair and analysis reports in accordance with Company standards and aligned to customer requirements. You will directly liaise with customers to communicate repair estimates, timescales and provide technical feedback and take part in meetings with suppliers and customers.



2 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above in at least 2 of the following: Maths, English, Physics, Design Technology, IT, Electronics, or another related subject (e.g. science or computing).

  • Previous technical knowledge of audio, visual and navigation products.

  • Using test and measurement equipment for electronic analysis.

  • Experience of reading schematic diagrams.
